Video Project For Rotary Club

The Nitty Gritty

Project Details

One of the goals for this Rotary video was to provide a means with which the Rotary Club could recruit new students for community service awards. Secondly, the director wanted to emphasize the Rotary’s aim, which is to inspire “service above self.”

We selected a camera position so that I could record clear audio and excellent video while not being in anyone’s line of sight. I got other shots that I had planned on recording to have plenty of BROLL; when the situation was more “freeform,” I moved instinctively which allowed me to get creative shots. I then edited and color graded the video to emphasize the warm, calm, social environment.

“Giraffe Video Production delivered exactly what I hoped for when we engaged to produce a video to introduce our Rotary Rising Youth Leadership Award program and an exceptional group of high school sophomores. The video is the best communication tool we have to tell the story in three minutes!”

Here are a few key moments during the event. As the videographer, I was ready to record whenever a change in the event occurred. I also went mobile (no tripod) when needed.
