Construction Showcase For High Impact

Commonwealth Building, Inc:

Video for high impact website

The Nitty Gritty

Project Details

The goal for this video was to make a high impact construction showcase video for the company’s website. Chris Fontaine, CEO, wanted to showcase the large scale projects that Commonwealth Building regularly does. Ultimately, he needed a very concise video to “WOW” sales prospects.

We proposed a shot list with Mr. Fontaine’s suggestions which he later approved before the shoot. As the videographer, I planned out how I would obtain the video and what equipment was needed.

When I went to the site, I recorded the construction workers and made sure to complete all the shots as planned. I then returned to my office and edited them to include some slow motion (recorded at 60 frames per second). We were fortunate to use some file photos that professional photographer Elisif Brandon had recently taken of other Commonwealth Building construction projects. The result was a construction showcase that CEO Chris Fontaine could use to market his company.

“It was a pleasure working with Ramón Bannister as a videographer for our website and media content. Ramón is a talented and detail oriented professional that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to create amazing video content for their business.”

Construction Showcase

We recorded a variety of sites which included a scene with huge cement trucks. I got a lot of great video of the workers doing many jobs, such as filling a huge hole with cement and smoothing it out; using a large, industrial quality hammer drill; painting; and running wires for a building’s electrical system. There were also the people on the management side – architects – whom I recorded working on their computers and talking about their next construction project.
